ISLAMABAD: The Counsel of Proposer and Seconder of Sharif brothrs’ eligibility case, Akram Sheikh said Tuesday that sitting bench has no jurisdiction to hear the eligibility case of Sharif brothers; therefore, the matter should be referred to the Chief Justice for formation of larger bench.
Talking to the media here Sheikh said that it could not be termed contempt of court if the petitioner doesn’t appear before the court.
“Personally, I have not expressed any non-confidence on the sitting judges and there is no lack of respect for them too, he said, adding that I have completed my arguments before the bench and presented a book containing more than fifty judgments.”
He said that the present court couldn’t hear this important case. “It is a case about national leader,” he added.
